This project was photographed in Saint-Louis through days spent walking, observing, and allowing moments to unfold without intervention on 35mm.
The series emerges from proximity — from sharing time long enough for gestures, rhythms, and small details to reveal themselves naturally. The work leans into the quiet spaces in between, where presence becomes more important than action.
Shot entirely on 35mm film, the images embrace uncertainty as part of the process. Light shifts, imperfect frames, and fleeting expressions become a way of responding to the environment rather than controlling it.
The photographs don’t attempt to explain a place, but to reflect on the experience of moving through it — the subtle tension of a glance, the softness of light on skin, and the feeling of constant motion even within stillness.
The series is part of a larger body of work of over 200 photographs, conceived as an evolving long-term project intended to become a photobook.
At its core, the work is about attention — about being present long enough for everyday moments to reveal their depth.
